IIT Madras Research Park Visit
The broad focus of the session would be to sensitize students / faculties to Entrepreneurship, a brief look at the activities on-going at IITM campus to foster entrepreneurship and primarily the work of the IITM Incubation Cell to promote and nurture this start-up ecosystem. The students / faculties will also get an opportunity to interact virtually with few start-up founders/ core team members and understand their journey.
The students participating can belong to any department and should have a flair for entrepreneurship.
Entrepreneurship and Startups are the buzz words today worldwide and Indian Industry is also catching up. For graduating students, this has become an alternative career path, and there are many success stories we are hearing today. PALS will be providing suitable exposure to its Participating Institutes in these upcoming areas.
The attending PI faculty will learn about the various units operating in IITM RP such as Biotech Incubator, Health Tech Incubator, Rural Tech Incubator, how projects/startups are incubated, how startups function and how engineering graduates are employed/interned in the startups. They would get to know opportunities they can possibly get in IITM Research Park.
